Nurse Case Manager

Nurse Case Managers are learning the Intrinsic Coaching® methodology and turning a coaching methodology into a movement creating healthier people, healthier organizations, and a healthier world. Because Intrinsic Coaching® enables Nurse Case Managers to engage people's best thinking, even in difficult circumstances, Nurse Case Managers are finding it to be a more effective, productive, and satisfying way of working with people.  Nurse Case Managers learn Intrinsic Coaching® by signing up as individuals and also on the initiative of their organization.

Enroll as an individual: View the schedule and enroll in an Intrinsic Coach® Development Series for Health and Wellness professionals by going to http://www.intrinsiccoach.com/english/enroll/.  New series start almost every week and meet via teleconference for two consecutive hours a week, once a week, for twelve weeks. If you have to miss a session, you can listen to an audio file of your missed session. Upon completion of this Series, you will be able to elicit people's best thinking, including your own, so they and you can accomplish important outcomes. You'll also be able to identify yourself as an Intrinsic Coach®, use the Intrinsic Coach® logo, wear the Intrinsic Coach® pin, have access to the Intrinsic Coach® community, and have a readily available way to develop your coaching in any direction you choose, through www.IntrinsicCoach.com. Christal Jensen, R.N., BSN, Care Manager, IBA Health Plans, Kalamazoo, MI

I think a lot about what Intrinsic Coaching® has taught me and I think it's really helped me in my work because it's also helped me on a personal basis. It's opened my eyes to help me understand myself more so I can understand other people more. It's almost like I can picture coaching myself on a daily basis: What's important to me? What are my goals? And in doing that for myself, it's helped me be able to look at that for others, too. Also, I feel more comfortable with myself and so am not so caught up with other people's personalities. Because coaching has helped me be calmer internally, I can focus on other things that are outside of me.

Danna M. Downing, RN, Manager, Bronson ProHealth Wellness Services, Kalamazoo, MI

I am thinking a lot about the way we rephrased the question about the meds and what strikes me is we aren’t abandoning the extrinsic, we are melting it better with the intrinsic, and I think when we first started…I was thinking that somehow I would just magically be in front of someone and all this intrinsic stuff would come…And I learned that it's not that you stand back, it’s that you engage more appropriately…The participant is directing you and showing what is most important.
